Carlie comes from an active background; having danced and played sports her entire life. She has played sports such as basketball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer. She played for the Provincial Flames soccer team for a few years before quitting to focus more on dance. She started dancing at the age of 11 and moved on to compete in multiple competitions across Canada. She has studied tap, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and ballet.
Carlie has a bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of Manitoba and is working towards obtaining her Exercise Physiology certification. She has a lot of experience working with group fitness classes and is looking forward to focusing more on individual clients, in order to help them achieve their specific goals. Carlie mostly works with clients that want to live a healthy balanced lifestyle, but loves working with clients that want to improve performance as well. She has worked at the University of Manitoba teaching group fitness classes and working as a fitness attendant in the Active Living Center. She also currently works at Orange Theory Fitness, helping members push themselves more than they thought possible while making sure they are executing their exercises safely. She loves working with all types of clients, however she has a passion for helping women feel more confident and teaching them the importance of strength training.
